Private Boxing, MMA and Weight Training Classes in Seoul

Private Boxing, MMA & Weight Training In Seoul

BODY SMITH is an English-friendly private gym in Gangnam located in Apgujeong. Each session combines boxing, conditioning, and weight training in one coached personal training flow — all in 45 minutes, with one coach, and one booking.

This is built for people who want a private training environment, coaching that is clear in English, and a program that helps them get stronger, leaner, and more confident — without the pressure of a crowded public gym or the confusion of figuring it out alone.

One Private Session. Three Training Elements.

Most gyms make you choose: boxing class or weight room, cardio or strength. BODY SMITH uses a multi-gym concept where all three happen inside a single private session, each one supporting the others.

  • Boxing for skill, coordination, rhythm, and practical confidence that carries beyond the gym
  • Conditioning through rounds, bag work, and athletic intervals that builds stamina and supports fat-loss goals
  • Weight training that builds strength, corrects posture, and gives the body a measurable structural foundation over time

Boxing leads the session. Conditioning supports your engine. Weight training builds the strength to make progress measurable over time. The combination means you do not have to choose between getting fit and actually learning something useful.

How One Class Works

Boxing Comes First

Every session starts with boxing. For beginners, this means stance, guard position, footwork, and safe movement before anything else. The coach watches how your body moves and corrects posture and balance before adding combinations.

A standard boxing block includes shadowboxing, one-on-one mitt work, heavy bag rounds, rhythm training, and basic self-defense movement. Sessions run in 3-minute rounds with short rest periods and usually take around 20 minutes. Members with more experience work on combinations, head movement, and defensive footwork within the same block — the level adjusts to where you are.

Conditioning Raises The Pace

Conditioning is built through boxing rounds, bag work, bodyweight drills, and athletic intervals. The intensity and format are adjusted to your goal. Members focused on fat loss work at a higher output with shorter rest. Members building strength or returning after a break work at a pace that supports the body without overloading it.

The conditioning block flows naturally from the boxing work and keeps energy levels high through the weight training that follows.

Weights Build The Body

The second half of the session focuses on weight training based on your goal and physical condition. Depending on what your body needs, this may include lower body strength, upper body pressing and pulling, core stability, posture correction, or injury-aware movement patterns. The coach adjusts based on how your body responds week to week — not a fixed template repeated every session.

Train With A Coach Who Has Real Fight Experience

BODY SMITH is coached by Kang Jaehyun, a coach with a combat sports background and more than 8 years of one-on-one coaching experience. His background includes boxing, kickboxing, strength training, sports science, and natural bodybuilding competition.

  • Started boxing at age 14
  • Professional boxing license at age 19
  • Hanyang University Sports Science graduate
  • Amateur boxing record: 19 fights
  • Professional boxing and kickboxing experience
  • Sparring partner for UFC-level fighters at Korean Top Team
  • 8+ years of one-on-one coaching experience

Fight experience changes how a coach teaches. Corrections become specific — not just "throw straighter" but why your guard drops after combinations, why your footwork breaks down under pressure, and how to fix it through repetition rather than instruction alone. That level of detail is what separates coaching from supervision.

What To Bring And Tell Us

Indoor shoes are required. Training wear, towels, and shared gloves are available at the gym. You can bring your own gloves, hand wraps, or training gear if you prefer — but nothing extra is needed for your first session.

Before your first session, let the coach know about any injuries, pain, surgery history, doctor recommendations, or movement limitations. This is not a formality — it directly affects what you train that day. Members with knee issues, back pain, or shoulder restrictions can still train effectively when the coach understands the full picture from the start.

Private And Small Group Options

1:1 Private Session

Best for members who want the full session designed around their body and goal. Every drill, every exercise, and every adjustment is for you. Progress is tracked closely because the coach is watching only you for the entire 45 minutes.

2:1 / 3:1 Small Group Private

Good for friends, couples, or small groups who want to train together. The session stays coach-led, private, and structured — it is not an open class. Pairs working toward a similar goal let the coach program the session as a coherent unit rather than splitting attention unevenly.

All formats are private coaching. BODY SMITH is not a public open gym.
