About BODY SMITH, an English-Friendly Private Gym in Seoul
Why BODY SMITH Exists
BODY SMITH was built to solve a specific problem. People living in Seoul wanted to train seriously — boxing, strength, conditioning — but found that most gyms made it difficult. Public gyms were crowded and coaching was in Korean. Boxing gyms focused on fighters, not people building a routine from scratch. Personal training studios covered weights but nothing else.
BODY SMITH fills that gap. It is an English-friendly private training studio in Gangnam where boxing, conditioning, and weight training happen inside one coached session — built for international members, English speakers, and anyone who wants structured training without the friction of a crowded public gym.

Private Gym In Apgujeong, Gangnam
BODY SMITH is not a crowded public gym. It is a private PT studio built for focused coaching, clean movement, and a controlled training environment. Members can ask questions freely, learn at their own pace, and train without competing for equipment or navigating the social pressure of a packed gym floor.
The location in Apgujeong gives members convenient access from Gangnam, Sinsa, Itaewon, Hongdae, Songpa, and other major Seoul areas. The studio includes boxing equipment, heavy bags, free weights, strength machines, cardio equipment, kettlebells, dumbbells, changing space, and a private shower.

Boxing, MMA And Weight Training In One System
Most gyms treat boxing and weight training as separate pursuits — you join a boxing gym or a fitness gym, and you manage the rest on your own. BODY SMITH combines them into one private training flow because they support each other more than they compete. Boxing builds coordination, rhythm, and cardiovascular output. Weight training builds the strength and structure to make boxing more powerful and sustainable over time.
Conditioning supports stamina and fat-loss goals. Weight training builds strength, posture, muscle, and long-term body composition. The result is a personal training session that feels athletic, structured, and easy to follow — without needing to plan three separate workouts across three different gyms.

About The Head Coach
Coach Kang Jaehyun has been in boxing since he was 14 years old. He earned a professional boxing license at 19 and competed in 19 amateur bouts before moving into professional boxing and kickboxing. His striking background expanded through sparring work at Korean Top Team, where he trained alongside fighters competing at international level. Alongside his competitive career, he studied Sports Science at Hanyang University and competed in natural bodybuilding — a combination that gave him a technical understanding of both athletic performance and body composition that most combat coaches do not have. He has been working with private coaching clients for more than 8 years.
- Boxing and kickboxing experience
- Amateur boxing record and professional fight experience
- Sparring work with high-level fighters at Korean Top Team

Our Coaching Philosophy
Training should be practical, personal, and sustainable. The right session for one person is the wrong session for another, so we do not give every member the same workout. Your session is built around your fitness level, body condition, injury history, training background, and goal.
A member who works a desk job with tight hips and rounded shoulders needs different strength work than someone coming from a physically active background. A member working toward fat loss while managing a knee issue needs conditioning that raises output without loading the joint. A member who wants boxing for self-defense and confidence will spend more time on combinations, footwork, and reaction work than someone focused purely on body composition. The purpose is to coach the right session for your body — not to push you into a routine that was designed for someone else.
What Members Say
BODY SMITH members train consistently because the sessions are structured, the coaching is specific, and the environment makes it easy to show up. Here is what a few of them have said.
lee****
“Because the sessions are tailored to each person's ability, it feels much easier to stay consistent with PT.”
sysbyul
“Not only is this a great place to train, but the coaching always adjusts to how my body feels that day.”
JAYOL
“I used to live with chronic back pain and avoid exercise, and now I am living pain-free after training here.”
daranbi
“I trained with this coach at the previous studio, and when he moved to BODY SMITH, I came over immediately too.”
Who BODY SMITH Is For
BODY SMITH works well for people who want to be coached, not just supervised. People who have walked into a crowded gym before and felt like they were figuring it out alone. People who want to ask questions mid-session, understand why they are doing each movement, and train in English without it being an obstacle.
- You want structured coaching, not an open floor and a program sheet
- You prefer a private space where the environment stays controlled
- You want one session that covers skill, fitness, and strength together
- You are willing to start as a beginner and build something real
- You want to train with a friend while keeping it coach-led and private
Training is in English. Asking questions mid-session is normal and expected. Korean and international members pay the same price — we do not overcharge international members.
